have you heard about the lonesome loser?

ok. so i'm pissed. i just got back from a friends house, watching the grammys. a different friend told me that there was going to be a bjork/thom york duet. no dice. i was stoked to see that.

and, on a similar note- the grammys were pretty damned uneventful. i missed the best album of the year or whatever the big prize is. i was just stoked that macy gray got one. that rocks.

so this weekend was amazing. good food. good fun. and great conversation with friends that i rarely talk to. it was something i really needed - an escape from the solitude and "shop-talking" that i have here. it was great to be able to get away, and talk about things that i'm uncomfortable talking to my two friends here about. and...

on saturday i got to see a film called "sound and fury" - a documentary about two families struggling with the decision of giving their children cochlear implants - mainly revolving around the status and future of "deaf culture" ... pretty interesting stuff. it's prompted me to email my deaf friends and see what they think about the subject.

and, i've recently (re)discovered aol instant messenger. fun. it's nice to talk to friends at work. but... it's definitely lowered my productivity. oh well. who cares.

ok. time for bed.
wow. so it's been a whole month since i blogged here.

i have blogged twice on the x3499 over at TNI site.

i'm just home for lunch now, and having a nice fake turkey and fake cheese sandwich on a real jalapeno bagel. yum.

anyway. this weekend was an exciting one, to say the least, it involved arenacross and snowboarding along with other things. i have all intentions to discuss this futher when i come home from work for real.

on that note, i've got to get back to work, as much as i don't want to...
